J. Hirsch Interior Design has been designing award-winning interiors for over 20 years.  Janie Hirsch, ASID graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Interior Design from the School of Architecture.  Janie, a Louisiana native and the daughter of an architect and watercolor artist, landed on her feet in Atlanta following a stint in New York City working for a lighting designer.  She has designed homes from Georgia and Alabama to Louisiana and Florida and has received numerous local, regional, and national design awards for personal homes and model homes.

Janie Hirsch was recently featured as Viking Range’s Fourth Quarter 2008 Designer of Distinction for a kitchen in an Italian farmhouse style home in Cumming, GA.  Janie was also awarded a 2007 ASID Southern Accents National Residential Interior Design Contest Award for a kitchen that was featured in their magazine.  This same Marietta home was featured in Better Homes & Gardens Decorating magazine and was also awarded a national Best in American Living Award (BALA) and an Atlanta Home Builders Professionalism Award (OBIE).  Janie was awarded two ASID Design Excellence Awards for this home and a home in Cumming, GA. in 2008.  J. Hirsch Interior Design also received a 2007 ASID Design Excellence Award for a Norcross home and three 2006 awards for a private home in Buckhead and two model homes in Vickery Village.  Janie also received a 2004 ASID award for a private wine cellar and tasting lounge.  Her most recent ASID award was in 2010 for a sorority chapter room at Auburn University.  She has participated in the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Show House & Gardens, the Alliance Theater Christmas House, the Atlanta Magazine’s Dream House, Roswell Woman’s Club Designer Show House, and Christmas at Callenwolde.  Janie Hirsch’s designs have been featured in Southern Accents, Beautiful Homes, Décor, Decorating, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Atlanta Magazine’s HOME, New Home, Decorati.com, Remodel, Home By Design, Atlanta Style & Design, Atlanta Life Magazine, Atlanta Magazine, Flavors, Points North, and Women’s World magazines.  She is also featured in three cocktail table books, Interiors Southeast (Due out in Spring 2011), Showhouse Review and Green Living by Design.
