Winter Daze

Text: By Elizabeth

It may be mid-January, but a host of new cultural happenings promises to alleviate any winter "blahs" you may be feeling. Internationally acclaimed Atlanta glass artist Hans Godo Frabel's Orchid Daze installation of glass sculptures (left) in the form of orchids, rare and endangered species at the Botanical Gardens begins January 27th. Also that weekend is your final chance at the High to see the first installment of Louvre Atlanta's "Kings Drawings" before they head back to Paris. And not to be outdone, the Fernbank Museum premieres its newest iMAX film Hurricane on the Bayou, a tour of New Orleans and the Lousiana bayou, pre- and post-Katrina via four well-known blues musicians, on the 18th.
