Warm up to the arts
I feel like the cold snap is slowing everyone down just a bit -- so
what could be more perfect than warming up inside some of the city's
art galleries and taking in the new shows? Lots opened over the weekend
and are running through the end of February. Here's the roundup:
Anne Irwin Fine Art has work by self-taught artist David Arms; Orchid Daze with Frabel opened at the Botanical Garden; Marcia Wood Gallery is showing Venske & Spanle's Perchance to Dream and New Work by Amanda Hughen; catch the last half of Luminosity at Huff Harrington Fine Art; a new show opens on Thursday at Lagerquist Gallery - work by Ted Goerschner, Barbara Evans and Sabre Esler will be on display; Solomon Projects has J.D. Walsh's new show Slow Fade; 12 Stories of Birth and Destruction by Gerry Hull is on display at Mason Murer Projects; bold paintings by Brian Schellinger are at Romo Gallery; and The Lowe Gallery has Michael David's Requiem for a Gangster.
Enjoy!
