Tuscan Treasure
Step inside our Spring Show House at Montaluce Winery & Estates
What better backdrop for Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles’ Spring Show House than North Georgia’s version of the Italian wine country, a 400-acre Tuscan-style, new-home community and winery. At Montaluce Winery & Estates in Dahlonega, the interiors of a country home come to life thanks to Jillian Pritchard Cooke of DES-SYN, who in traditional Tuscan style, blends interior and exterior spaces to create a casa asperta, or open house, where the nature surrounding it serves as the focal point—in this case, the majestic North Georgia mountains. “Here, everything is geared toward the back of the house for drinking in the views,” says Cooke, whose firm emphasizes eco-friendly design. “For the second home market, we felt strongly that the house should show how you can update collections in your city home and recycle other pieces to the second home as needed,” she says. “It’s all about reusing but in a fresh new way.” Come inside, pour a glass of wine and take a tour. We think you’ll find it, in a word, bellissima!

| In preparation for the Montaluce Show House, Jillian Pritchard Cooke and the DES-SYN team scoured European antiques markets for Italian treasures. The designers gave many pieces a second life with new fabrics, paint and other details. To view these “Tuscan Treasures” in their previous life, click here. |
