Take Your Pick Wednesday

Text: By Elizabeth

"Rodeo Drive of the South," "Atlanta's Magnificent Mile." It seems like nearly every new development proposed in town these days is uttering these phrases, but tomorrow, the executive director of Chicago's Millenium Park Ed Uhlir, promises to reveal to Atlantans just what it takes (hint: it takes a lot more than retail) to turn a tourist attraction into an award-winning center of art, music and architecture in his lecture at Georgia Tech to celebrate National Architecture Week. Also tomorrow: designers Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams will be signing their new book Let's Get Comfortable at their Buckhead outpost, and The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Georgia chapter hosts its annual Design Excellence Awards (we'll keep you posted on the winners!).
