For the 13th year, high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a select group of Southern tastemakers—including many Atlantans—created the ultimate showplace for the 2010 Cashiers Designer Showhouse
Wade Hampton Golf Club was the host site of “Whisper Fade,” the 2010 Cashiers Designer Showhouse. Perched on a gentle promontory near Wade Hampton’s 10th hole, the five-bedroom home featured unparalleled views of Whiteside Mountain. A project of McKee Development Construction Management Division, Whisper Fade was designed by Travis Mileti of Mountainworks, built by R. J. Ward & Company and certified through both the Earthcraft green building program and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Star program. The showhouse, which benefits the Cashiers Historical Society, was sold on the evening of the opening night party and has since been decorated by celebrated designer Charles Faudree, who will also be participating in this year’s Cashiers Designer Showhouse next month.
