Raised in the north Atlanta suburbs, Tom Harvey went on to work at some of the most exclusive kitchens in the world, creating food with culinary masters in the trade. He apprenticed at the five-star Cloister Hotel in Sea Island, Georgia and served as lead cook at the boutique-like Woodlands Resort & Inn in South Carolina. He graced the kitchens of the glamorous Chef Allen's in Miami, Florida and the famous Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee. Tom Harvey then returned to his Atlanta roots where he learned the private dining business at Talk of the Town Catering, later becoming the executive chef at popular Nava. Chef Tom brings sophisticated experience blended with his casually hip style to ONE. midtown kitchen, a premier Atlanta restaurant.

Uniquely situated in an urban warehouse with a spectacular view of Piedmont Park and the Atlanta skyline, ONE amassed a true "all star team" by owners and restaurant icons Bob Amick and Todd Rushing. Chef Tom offers a menu that freshly evolves with the seasons in terms of produce and cooking methods, and features small plates. He prioritizes preparing flavorful dishes that are appealing, affordable, and unpretentious. 

The creative American cuisine, understated modern décor, and high energy vibe of ONE results in both a special occasion destination where tuxedoes are common, as well as a neighborhood favorite, where jeans are just as chic. 

A few of Chef Tom's favorite menu items include Poached Duck Breast, Pork Dumplings, and the Raspberry White Chocolate Moon Pie; plus he is an avid fan of their wine offerings. The five-tier wine program, which extends from half glasses to the bottomless bottle and features over 50 wines by the glass, has received national acclaim from critics and diners alike, and is considered the best restaurant wine value in town.

A little secret from Chef Tom? "The best meat, hands-down, is pork. I love filet mignon, however, I actually prefer the flavor and versatility of pork. I always find it fun to try other chefs' versions of pork—it's definitely my favorite item to order."

A resident of Marietta and a graduate of Florida State University, Tom and his wife, Julie, enjoy hiking, going to the beach, and dining out at restaurants in their leisure time.
