Cashier's Designer Showcase

If you've simply had enough of Atlanta's 100-plus days, chill out in Cashiers this weekend – if you're not among the lucky ones who get to summer in the North Carolina mecca – and take in the Cashiers Designer Showhouse. The annual event, which takes place through Sept. 2 at the quaint Lodges at Millstone, features the work of a number of Atlanta interior designers, including Kathy Guyton, Carolyn Malone, Toby West, Carole Weaks, Tom Hayes and Patricia McLean.
