Adventures in Decorating, Part I

Text: By Clint Smith

A COLOR STORY  Even though we had a taste of glorious spring weather, I spent most of this past weekend indoors painting my living room. I haven't painted in years; I had forgotten how much commitment it takes to tackle such a project—almost as long as it took me to choose a paint color! After going back and forth between Benjamin Moore's White Chocolate and Pratt & Lambert's Seed Pearl, the Seed Pearl won me over. It's a great white because it's not too stark, but it's not too creamy either. It's just right. I also painted my door an intense Chinese Red (Ralph Lauren's Lattice Red, to be exact). That, I'm afraid, might not be sticking around. We'll have to see if it grows on me some. More adventures in decorating to come...
