2009 SCAD-Atlanta Scholarship Gala

The annual fundraiser celebrates the institution’s 30th anniversary

July 2009

The 2009 SCAD-Atlanta Scholarship Gala, held April 16 at the SCAD-Atlanta campus at 1600 Peachtree Street, commemorated 30 years of the institution's innovative arts instruction at its Savannah, Atlanta and Lacoste, France, campuses. As the school's biggest fundraiser of the year, the gala raised scholarship funds for promising new talents. A number of prized guests and regional artists were in attendance, who enjoyed presentations and exhibitions of the latest in art and design techniques and trends, as well as live music, live and silent auctions, cocktails and cuisine. VIP guests arrived an hour early for a special collectors' preview reception with spotlighted artists. And adding even more glitz to the evening, celebrated Atlanta-born, NYC-based interior designer Miles Redd—who we recently caught up with for an exclusive interview at AtlantaHomesMag.com—served as this year's honorary chair.
