The 2008 Christmas House Preview Party
Featuring 26 of the city's best and brightest designers

Now in its 34th year, the Alliance Children’s Theatre Christmas House—and in its newest incarnation, the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Christmas House to benefit the Alliance Children’s Theatre—quickly became regarded as the toast of the Atlanta holiday season—and home to the most notable roster of designers in an Atlanta show house ever. This stately Buckhead mansion, built by Canonbury Homes Inc., designed by Harrison Design Associates and located at 1620 Mount Paran Road, boasts a commanding 12,700 square feet of space—but thanks to its breathtaking designs, feels remarkably intimate and livable, too. And the exclusive opening night Preview Party, held November 7, from 7 to 11 p.m., was every bit as stylish. From rising stars to local legends, 26 of the city’s top designers—and their associates—trotted out for the black-tie affair which drew more than 350 of Atlanta’s most distinguished and design-savvy. Guests in their finery mingled among decked out spaces and a Garage Gallery of select works from local galleries Kendall Fine Art, Vinings Gallery, GA LTD Gallery and Huff Harrington Fine Art, bid on silent auction items and noshed on a delectable buffet by Avenue Catering Concepts. What’s more, the record-breaking November 15-December 7 Christmas House showing marked an unprecedented number of visitors and celebratory 40th season for the Southeast’s Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre, raising the bar for many more incredible years to come.
