An all-natural dining room shows off reclaimed materials and classic décor in a clever way

In the dining room of this EarthCraft-certified home in south Atlanta’s Serenbe community, sheer curtains create a veil of separation between this space and the kitchen. The curtains are open daily, inviting everything from meals to Web browsing at the multifunctional table; when closed, the sheers create an elegant, formal space akin to dining in the clouds.

Fabrics  All-natural fibers were used throughout the space, such as this sheer wool fabric by Rogers & Goffigon, hung from wrought-iron ceiling tracks fashioned by metal artist Andrew Crawford. ironisking.com.

Chandelier  An elegant chandelier crafted from reclaimed woods by Atlanta-based Bobo Intriguing Objects hangs above the dining room table. bobointriguingobjects.com.

Table  The dining room tabletop is made from reclaimed elm from a Midwestern barn; the base was bought new from Holland & Co., ADAC, (404) 233-2091.

Floors  All floors throughout the home are reclaimed 18th-century American heart pine, from South Georgia.

Recycling and Reusing  The homeowners brought many pieces with them from their previous home, including the formal dining room rug.
