Marietta Design Resources
You can get to anywhere in Marietta with directions from the “Big Chicken” that sits atop Kentucky Fried Chicken at Cobb Parkway and Roswell Street, one of the town’s biggest intersections. The famous landmark is known far and wide, as is the downtown square. Glover Park is a small part of the Marietta "Square," which includes the vintage 1898 train depot, now the Marietta Welcome Center, and the antebellum Kennesaw House, which houses the Marietta History Museum. Nearby, a vintage 1880 warehouse is now home to the Gone With The Wind Movie Museum and Scarlett on the Square. Residents and visitors can peruse antique shops, boutiques, specialty shops and restaurants in the historic area. Marietta is also home to Dobbins Air Force Base, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and several area parks.
