Summer of Shopping: English Style

Although AGA cookers actually began in Sweden, they are now considered quintessentially British. The company is best known for its radiant heat cast iron cookers, but AGA also makes modern dual-fuel and electric ranges. Stylistically, they are design icons and their colors are incomparable. Clive Christian is the purveyor of elegantly appointed couture kitchens, but its famed cabinetry works in a variety of spaces, including bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry rooms, media rooms and more. The design inspiration for William Yeoward Crystal is drawn from antique crystal pieces originally made in England during the 18th- and early 19th-century. Lee Jofa is the quintessential British fabric house. Its Atlanta showroom also represents stalwarts GP&J Baker and Cole & Sons - all three brands have taken timeless classics and updated them for a new generation of interior designers (think David Hicks fabrics reinterpreted by his son, Ashley Hicks). Contemporary British designer Kelly Hoppen effortlessly blends Eastern and Western influences in her simple but elegant design aesthetic.
