Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine and the Alliance Theatre Announce the 2008 Christmas House


Now in its thirty-fourth year, The Alliance Childrens’ Theatre Christmas House, now known as The 2008 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Christmas House to benefit the Alliance Children’s Theatre, is well on its way to becoming the most successful Designer Show House ever.

The 2008 Season marks the 40th Anniversary of the AllianceTheatre, one of Atlanta’s most venerable cultural institutions.  Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine and Canonbury Homes, Inc. have designated this stately 12,700 sq. ft. Buckhead mansion as the 2008 Christmas House. 

The House, designed by Harrison Design Associates and situated on almost 2 acres of very visible and desirable real estate, will feature individually decorated rooms by the area’s “A” list designers to showcase high-style interiors while capturing the essence of the Season.  There will be a preview Party Gala and Silent Auction on Friday evening, November 14th and the house will be open to the public for tours beginning Saturday, November 15, closing on Sunday, December 7th. Tour Times
The 2008 Christmas House will be open to the public Nov. 15th through Dec. 7th. 

Wednesdays - Fridays     10AM – 4PM
Saturdays                        10 AM - 5 PM       
Sundays                           1 - 5 PM

The House is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and on Thanksgiving Day.

Parking
Christmas House is located at 1620 Mt. Paran Road at the corner of Randall Mill Road, Atlanta, GA 30327.  Parking is not allowed at the Christmas House, however there will be a continuous courtesy shuttle to the house from the IBM Office Complex at 4111 Northside Parkway.

Tickets  
Adult tickets are available for $20.00 in advance or $22.00 at the door or online, and $10.00 for children 12-18 years of age. Children under 12 are free. Christmas House Rental Information
The Christmas House will be available for corporate and private party rentals from November 15 until December 6, excluding Thanksgiving Day.  For rental information, please call Gina Christman at 404-965-4414.

The Alliance Children’s Theatre

About The Alliance Children’s Theatre

The Alliance Children’s Theatre’s three primary outreach initiatives are the institute of Educators, The Collision Project and The Acting Program.

The Institute of Educators
• Places Alliance professionals into local classrooms
• Serves students of which more than 50% at at-risk children
• Works annually with 4,000 students in more than 150 classrooms
• Provides more than 275,000 student contact hours in 1,370 classroom sessions

The Collision Project
• Entering the project’s 7th year
• Allows students to spend 3 weeks “colliding” with a classic script
• Results in a play that tours high schools across Georgia
• Involves 20 metro Atlanta teens each year

The Acting Program
• Celebrating the Program’s 28th year
• Offers continuing education in stage, film and television acting for all ages
• Provides opportunity to train with professional theatre and film educators as faculty
